Cookies
- Praxis Works may use cookies and other tracking technologies (including from Google and PostHog) to keep, and sometimes track, information about you on our website. Cookies are small data files that are sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies track where you travel on the website and what you view. In doing so, a cookie may enable us to relate your use of the services to your Personal Information.
- Praxis Works may let other companies whose content we embed (YouTube and Cal.com) set and access their cookies on your computer. Other companies’ use of their cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not this one. Advertisers or other companies do not have access to Praxis Works’s cookies.
- We use information gathered from these tracking technologies so that we can analyze trends, administer the website, and track users’ movements around the website.
- Please note that the website is not presently configured to respond to DNT or “do not track” signals from web browsers or mobile devices. As such, Praxis Works does not recognize or respond to Do Not Track requests.
- How we use analytics and respond to Global Privacy Control is described in the next section.
How This Website Uses Analytics
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager load on every page and record page views, referrers, approximate location (city and region, derived from IP address), and device and browser characteristics. Google signals and user-provided data are turned off, and we do not use Google Analytics to build advertising audiences.
- PostHog records the same kind of usage data. On the homepage and the services page only, it also records heatmaps and a replay of your interactions for roughly 40 percent of sessions. Replay and heatmaps do not run on any other page. PostHog does not build persistent profiles for anonymous visitors.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics measures traffic without cookies.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, PostHog is not loaded at all, and Google’s advertising-related consent settings (ad storage, ad user data, ad personalization) are denied. Google Analytics measurement remains on.
- We use your browser’s per-tab
sessionStorage, which is erased when you close the tab, to hold the campaign parameters from your entry page (acquisition_utms), the path of the article you were reading (referring_post), and whether your session was selected for PostHog replay (ph_replay_sampled).
Confidentiality and Security
- We limit access to personal information about you to people who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide services to you or in order to do their jobs.
- We have physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect personal information about you.
- Praxis Works uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS) to protect data transmissions on this website.
- This website has no user accounts and does not process payments.
- Personal information you give us is held by the service providers listed above and is subject to their security programs.
- No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.
International Transfers
- Praxis Works operates its technology from servers located in the United States and the information it collects is processed in the United States by the service providers described above. Laws governing the collection and use of data in the United States may not be equivalent to those in the country where you reside, but Praxis Works will at all times protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
